The restaurant is a part of a residential complex located in the resort area on the coast of the Gulf of Finland. Even through the restaurant is located on the coastline very close to the sea, it is literally "enveloped" by local evergreen coniferous trees regardless. Therefore, the client defined the general concept of the restaurant as "a place to build traditions and values of healthy diet and communication culture in the first place".
Hence, the restaurant interior design is mainly based on smooth transition between the surrounding nature and the interior decorations. One of the highlights is the panoramic facade from the bay side giving a sense of immersion of the restaurant into the surrounding nature. A central fireplace made of large stones, "floating" lamps along the central facade, lots of plants and organic materials add to the feeling.
The project to-do list included a variety show stage and a children's playroom. Also, it was important to make sure all the visitors could enjoy the panoramic window views and the show right from their seats. In this respect, a podium - a pretty ordinary element - was of a huge help. We put it right in the center - next to the stage. We designed a space between the stage and the kitchen for a small playroom. The wall behind the stage isolates it from the playroom. It also serves as the base for decorative perforated panels with leaf pattern.
